Hi, Deacs! My name is Elise. I graduated from Wake in 2019 with a BA in Communication and a Minor in Psychology. I spent the summer after undergrad in Austin, TX, beginning my HR career at Dell Technologies. Immediately after, I came back to Wake for the MSM program at the School of Business and graduated in 2020. This program complemented my Liberal Arts background and solidified my passion for HR.

Since then, I have worked in HR, Recruiting, and Operations at various tech companies and startups. My roles have encompassed a wide range of responsibilities including implementing HR policies, managing compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and retention, performance management, event planning, talent development, employer branding, employee engagement, compliance, onboarding/off-boarding, employee relations, intern programs, finance, accounting, vendor management, and data analysis.

In addition to my professional work, I am passionate about education and volunteer as a board member for a non-profit mentoring and tutoring program, and as a mentor in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Both my career and volunteer efforts are dedicated to supporting people and helping them achieve their own definitions of success.
