Elizabeth Rudd (’13) | Physical Therapy and Entrepreneurship | Atlanta, GA

Hi Wake alums! I am Dr. Elizabeth Rudd, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, a Wake Forest alumna (Class of 2013) and the founder of Well Equipt Physical Therapy. After completing my undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science with a Spanish minor at Wake Forest, I pursued my Doctor of Physical Therapy at Columbia University in New York. I then returned to Atlanta with my husband, a fellow Wake Forest graduate, where we are raising two boys.

As a seasoned physical therapist, practice owner, and entrepreneur, I specialize in helping active adults overcome pain to continue the sports and hobbies they love. In 2018, I established Well Equipt with a mission to be a healthcare resource in the community and to deliver superior clinical outcomes through evidence-based care and patient-centered practice. Beyond patient care, I have mentored hundreds of PT practice owners, guiding them through personal and professional development to build sustainable, values-driven businesses.

Being a working mom gives me a practical lens on what it takes to juggle responsibilities. I’ve learned that effective work starts with self-care, thoughtful planning, and scalable processes. My mission is to empower others to create workable, values-driven careers—whether that’s clinical care, growing a practice, or stepping into leadership roles—while maintaining health, family connections, and personal purpose.

Please feel free to connect with me about the physical therapy profession, entrepreneurship in health care/service based industry, or life as a working mom!
