Connect with Ashley

Hi everyone!
My name is Ashley, and I am a proud graduate of the Wake Forest Class of 2016, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Honors Health & Exercise Science with minors in Journalism and Sociology. My path since Wake has been fueled by a combination of curiosity, resilience, a deep commitment to women’s health, and a few unexpected turns along the way that reinforced my belief that—even in medicine—meaningful careers rarely follow a perfectly linear trajectory.
After finishing OB/GYN residency in Columbus, Ohio, this year, I am about to begin fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Throughout medical school and residency, I held various leadership roles, most recently serving as Wellness Chief, where I focused on fostering community, supporting resident well-being, and navigating the elusive balance between professional ambition and personal sustainability.
Outside of medicine, I’m an avid distance runner, yoga instructor, and passionate advocate for mentorship through my online platform, GynOnc Collective, which I created to help support medical students and residents pursuing gynecologic oncology. I am also a huge fan of live music and an amateur DJ, which has been one of my favorite creative outlets outside of the hospital.
I am eager to connect about careers in OB/GYN, fellowship applications, personal statement development, navigating nontraditional paths in medicine, relocating to new cities, distance race training, or building an ambitious yet sustainable life both within and beyond medicine. Go Deacs!
