Nicholas Hariri (’22) | Wealth Management | New York, NY

I’m Nick, a 2022 Wake Forest graduate. Originally from San Francisco, I moved to New York City after graduation, where I’ve lived for the past four years.

I’m currently a Registered Client Service Associate at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management where I support a financial advising team. My role focuses primarily on portfolio management, financial planning, investment analysis and providing client service. My day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring and trading client portfolios, assisting with portfolio construction and rebalancing, creating and delivering financial plans, conducting investment research on various funds and products, and helping clients with general service needs.

At Wake Forest, I majored in Economics with minors in Entrepreneurship and Global Trade & Commerce Studies. Since graduating, I’ve been exposed to several different areas within financial advising, including practice management, business development, strategic client engagement, financial planning, and investment management. This exposure has been incredibly valuable in helping me better understand what I enjoy professionally, as well as how to think more intentionally about building a long-term career path.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned early in my career is that you don’t need to have everything figured out right away. Staying curious, building strong relationships, asking questions, and being willing to explore different paths can really help in shaping your career goals.

Outside of work, I’m an avid Bay Area sports fan, play in a weekly soccer league with some fellow alumni, and try to get out on the golf course whenever I can. I also love to cook but I’m always up for trying a new restaurant.

I’m happy to connect about working in wealth management, navigating your first few years after Wake, networking both inside and outside of your company, building good habits early in your career, or anything else.
