Connect with L.B.

Hello everyone!  My name is Lawrence Snipes, but most people call me L.B.  I graduated from Wake Forest in 2018 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience, and graduated again from Wake in 2021 with my MA in Counseling with a focus on School Counseling. During my time in Winston-Salem, I have worked in a variety of educational settings, including charter schools, K-8 schools, and high schools.  I did not think I would go into education before graduating from undergrad, but I am glad I did.

Having graduated from my master’s program right after students began returning to school, I had to address many students’ and staff’s needs to help steer the ship back on course, which stretched me further than expected.  I am currently a school counselor in Charlotte, NC, where I serve as the scholarship coordinator, school-based mental health contact, and a member of our district NACAC College Fair committee, among many other things, and work with over 400 9th through 12th-grade high school students.  As you can imagine, I wear many hats to ensure the school’s needs are met as best as possible.
