Stop Making Work Your Identity

In her most recent Psychology Today post, Wake Forest alumna and VP for Mentoring and Alumni Personal & Career Development Allison McWilliams (’95) considers how think about the work that we do. Rather than letting our work become our identity, McWilliams suggests that we stop defining ourselves by our jobs. Take time to consider your approach to work and how you might need to shift your expectations.
