Kate Maloney (’97) | CSR, Social Impact, UN SDG | New York, NY

Kate Maloney is the Executive Director of the Infosys Foundation USA, the CSR arm of Infosys Ltd, a global technology services consulting company. The mission of the Foundation is to increase access to K-12 computer science and maker education across the US. Prior to this position which Kate assumed in February 2019, she had an internationally-focused career in business and government.  She worked KPMG LLP in a variety of roles within the Global Infrastructure Practice (London, UK) and as a Director within the Development and Exempt Organizations practice and the UN Global Account Team (New York, NY). In that role, she advised international development organizations, private foundations, NGOs, UN agencies and funds, and the public sector on advancing inclusive emerging market development and social impact.

Her particular professional interests are global education and digital skills; public-private partnerships, sustainability, gender equality and empowerment. She follows closely the latest trends in corporate responsibility, the emerging space of ESG reporting, as well as the increasing role of business in society, particularly around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  Prior to KPMG, Kate spent time in Washington, DC serving as the Country Manager for Mexico and Central America at the US Trade and Development Agency and worked for Senator Richard G. Lugar on the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee pursuing a focus on US foreign assistance policy.

Kate received a BA in Spanish with a minor in Political Science from Wake Forest University in 1993 and a MA in International Economics with a focus on Latin America from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 2002 and is currently pursuing an Executive Certificate in Women’s Leadership from Stanford Business School within the Infosys ‘IamtheFuture’ program.  She is on the Board of Directors of Mary’s Meals USA, an organization that feeds over 2 million children annually across 19 countries. She co-founded the Wake Forest Global Deacs alumni network designed to support graduates of WFU with an interest in international affairs and global business.  She also serves on the Wake Forest Alumni Council.

Professional areas of expertise: international development, corporate philanthropy, non-profits, global infrastructure. Kate currently works at the Infosys US headquarters in the World Trade Center and lives in Greenwich, CT.
